Team Spotlight Playlist: Five

Hello, World!

You Already Know - Bombay Bicycle Club

I magically discovered this band when I saw my favorite band, Two Door Cinema Club, wearing a t-shirt of theirs. I instantly fell in love with their sound, which is a sort of feel-good, sway-to-the-beat, soft electric guitar feel. They’re a great band if you’re into chill, Indie music. This song is from 2008, but I first heard it recently, which reminded me how much I love this band. Carissa Estilo

Goodbye - Melvv

Sometimes you need an empowering song about leaving toxicity behind.. sometimes you need a pump-up song for a workout. This one, fortunately, accomplishes both. Tanya Gupta

Jethro - Thundercat

Melodic, discordant, and just downright groovy, Thundercat's skills as a bassist are unparalleled. This one's short, but soulful, and will leave you craving the rest of the 2017 release "Drunk"  Jo Dimatteo

Aphasia - Pinegrove

The lyrics really hit me in this song. "Aphasia" is a communication disorder that affects the parts of the brain that allow you to find the right words to say. Called an "ode to the unexplainable" by Atwood Magazine, this song resonates with the most personal feelings of miscommunication, and paradoxically, the relief that overwhelms you when you finally find the right outlet to express yourself.  Quinn Robertson

New Rules - Due Lipa

1. She's Albanian so I have to give a shout out to my people!

2. Her music is bomb and if you haven't listened to any of her songs you must have been hiding under a rock.

3. The music video is all about women empowerment. Here is the link to the music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2qgadSvNyU
